Archer Daniels Midland Co. is evaluating options for offering pea protein isolates and concentrates.

CHICAGO — Archer Daniels Midland Co. is evaluating options for offering pea protein isolates and concentrates in response to demand for functional proteins that may be incorporated into a range of products from energy bars to beverages.

“Our customers are seeking innovative ways to add high-quality protein and fiber to their products, and ADM is responding with one of the industry’s broadest and deepest protein and fiber portfolios,” said Bruce Bennett, president of ADM Specialty Ingredients.

In the specialty protein category, Chicago-based ADM already offers soy protein isolates, concentrates, textured proteins and crisps, and soy flour and grits.
