WASHINGTON — The total amount of edible liquid product from shell eggs broken during June was 232,750,000 lbs, down 1% from May and down 3% from June 2011, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said in its latest Egg Products report.

June production of edible liquid whole eggs was 138,501,000 lbs, up 2% from May but down 1% from June 2011; liquid whites were 62,524,000 lbs, down 3% from May and down 5% from June 2011; liquid yolks were 31,707,000 lbs, down 7% from May and down 4% from June 2011.

Shell eggs broken in June were 178,651,000 dozen, down 2% from May and down 3% from June 2011.
January – June production of edible whole eggs was 803,365,000 lbs, down 1% from the same period of the previous year; whites were 360,398,000 lbs, up 3%; yolks were 184,640,000 lbs, up 3%; and total edible liquid was 1,348,403,000 lbs, up slightly from 1,341,840,000 lbs.
