Slated as a breeding ground for innovation, the IDEA Lab is a premier destination for IBIE 2016 attendees. Featuring three domains — Innovation Spotlight Theater, “Ask the Experts” answer bar and Bakers’ Dozen Café — this new addition to IBIE is a valuable stop on any showgoer’s schedule.
“The IDEA Lab is designed to inspire our attendees and highlight innovation and creative thinking in such a way that it promotes new ideas and out-of-the-box thinking,” said Michael Cornelis, IBIE chair. “IBIE's mission is to advance the grain-based foods industry, and the IDEA Lab is designed to give industry professionals the tools to do just that.”
The Innovation Spotlight Theater features a series of presentations by Innovation Showcase participants. Audience members will learn about the latest products, and, following the presentations, can ask questions about the items.
At the “Ask the Experts” answer bar, a variety of industry professionals will be on-hand throughout the afternoon to answer questions on trending subjects such as clean label, millennials, product pricing and more.
The IDEA Lab also houses the Bakers’ Dozen Café, where attendees can enjoy refreshments while networking with industry peers.
