JGR Enterprises buys pasta maker

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — JGR Enterprises L.L.C. has completed the purchase of OB Macaroni, a family-owned pasta manufacturer based in Fort Worth since 1899.

"We hope to grow our distribution base by focusing on the company’s current relationships and the development of new products," said Gene Ratliff, chief marketing officer and executive vice-president of JGR Enterprises. "We plan to emphasize and improve our service levels to our existing customers, starting with personalized marketing support. This will enable us to bolster our market share and expand the brands."

O.B. Macaroni offers O.B. (Our Best) and Q&Q (Quality & Quantity) brand pasta products. The fourth generation of the Laneri family, descendants of early investor and company president Giovanni Battista Laneri, owned O.B. Macaroni.
