FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Bimbo Bakeries USA, the U.S. division of Grupo Bimbo S.A. de C.V., has shifted its U.S. headquarters to Horsham, Pa., from Fort Worth. Fort Worth is expected to remain the headquarters for the Western division of Bimbo Bakeries USA, the company said.

According to a company spokesperson, the decision to move was made shortly after Bimbo completed the acquisition of the U.S. fresh bakery business of Weston Foods, Inc. in late January. Horsham, which is a suburb of Philadelphia, was the U.S. headquarters of Toronto-based George Weston Bakeries prior to the Weston unit sale.

The spokesperson noted that the move has not resulted in a change in employment in Fort Worth, and no other facilities in Texas have been affected.

"We will maintain a major presence in the Texas market," the spokesperson said.
