ST. LOUIS — Richard G. Scalise, corporate vice-president and president of the Frozen Bakery Products division of Ralcorp Holdings, Inc., announced his resignation, effective April 3. Mr. Scalise is leaving the company to pursue an opportunity with another food company, Ralcorp said.

Mr. Scalise has been corporate vice-president and president of Frozen Bakery Products since 2005. Prior to joining Ralcorp, he was with ConAgra Foods, Inc. for eight years. He was president and chief operating officer of ConAgra’s Refrigerated Food Group business from 2003 to 2005, and president and c.o.o. of the company’s Dairy Foods Group from 2000 to 2003.

He began his career with General Foods Corp. in sales, later joining Armour Swift-Eckrich in 1985, where he held management positions of increasing responsibility. He joined H&M Food Systems as president and c.o.o. in 1994.

"In his time as president of Frozen Bakery Products, Rich Scalise has made major contributions to our frozen bakery business," said Kevin J. Hunt, co-chief executive officer and president of Ralcorp. "His leadership team has been critical to the integration of multiple acquisitions and processes in this division. Rich has also been an important member of the Ralcorp corporate team. We wish him well in his new endeavors."

Mr. Hunt will assume the position of president of Frozen Bakery Products in addition to his other responsibilities. Profit contribution in the Frozen Bakery Products segment was $63.7 million in the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, down 10% from $70.4 million in fiscal 2007. Total net sales of the Frozen Bakery Products segment were $711.8 million, up 15%.
