Newman's Own adds Margherita to pizza line

WESTPORT, CONN. — Newman’s Own, Inc. announced it is expanding distribution of its Thin & Crispy line of frozen pizzas to 30% of the United States. In addition, the company said it is launching a Margherita variety to the line in September.
The Thin & Crispy frozen pizzas contain full-bodied, hand-selected, all-natural ingredients; 0 grams of trans fat; multi-grain, flaxseed crust and no artificial ingredients. In addition to Margherita, the pizzas are available in supreme, four cheese, roasted garlic and chicken, and uncured pepperoni.

"Our new pizzas live up to the high expectations that consumers have for Newman’s Own products. The new Margherita pizza is a real favorite with the folks here in our ‘office test kitchen’ — the buzz is that the diced tomatoes and basil really give it a distinctive, fresh-baked taste."
Newman’s Own Thin & Crispy frozen pizza retails for a suggested price of $6.49. The line is available primarily in the Northeast and Western regions of the United States, as well as in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn.
