IRVING, TEXAS — Interstate Bakeries Corp. said bread sold under the Wonder and Home Pride brands is now available at retailers throughout North Texas. The company also announced that its Nature’s Pride bread has expanded its distribution and is now sold throughout North Texas as well.
In connection with the re-introduction, I.B.C. has pledged to donate 5,000 loaves of bread to the North Texas Food Bank to support its pursuit of a hunger-free community.
"We are thrilled to introduce the Wonder and Home Pride brands back to North Texas," said Charlie Smith, senior vice-president and general manager of I.B.C.’s Texas business unit. "The strong support of our retail partners coupled with an increase in consumer demand underscores the significant market opportunity of the region.
"In addition to Wonder and Home Pride, we are also expanding our offerings with new 100% natural Nature’s Pride, which, in only a few short months since its launch, has drawn rave reviews from consumers and earned high praise from Fitness Magazine as the best tasting sliced bread."
