'The Balancing Act' features whole grains

TACOMA, WASH. — The role whole grains plays in maintaining a healthy lifestyle is a focus of Lifetime Television’s “The Balancing Act,” which aired this morning and will air Feb. 23 and March 22. The show, which may be accessed at www.thebalancingact.com, features Roman Meal Co. and Elizabeth Somer, a registered dietician and author of “Eat Your Way to Happiness.”

As part of the show, Ms. Somer described the link between food and mood while sharing diet tips and showing how easy it is to add more whole grains to meals. In addition, she suggested women focus on real food, such as whole grains and whole grain products, fresh fruits and vegetables, legumes, nonfat or low-fat milk products and extra lean meats.
