MINNEAPOLIS — General Mills, Inc. has expanded its Pillsbury Simply… line with the launch of Simply… Buttermilk Biscuits and Simply… Rustic French Bread.
The products are made with flour, buttermilk and sugar. They contain zero grams trans fat, no high-fructose corn syrup and no artificial colors or flavors. The ready-to-bake biscuits and bread are available now in the refrigerated case.
“A growing number of moms are looking for simpler foods with basic ingredients,” said Justin Conzemius, marketing manager for Pillsbury Simply… Biscuits. “However, they also need to be delicious and foods they can feel good about serving their families. Though moms don’t often have time to bake from scratch, they are increasingly turning to the refrigerated section of the grocery store for simpler mealtime alternatives. There is also a convenience factor with refrigerated biscuits and breads, which can be used as needed. We’ve found that consumers appreciate having that flexibility.”
Simply… Buttermilk Biscuits have a suggested retail price of $1.99, while Simply… Rustic French Bread is priced at $2.99.
General Mills describes the Pillsbury Simply product line as products "Made with just the simple, wholesome ingredients you and your family know and love.”
