SAVANNAH, GA. — Barbara Heidolph, technical service principal – food ingredients with ICL Performance Products LP, has received the William F. Geddes Memorial Award for her contributions to the work of AACC International. She was honored during the association’s annual meeting in October.

Ms. Heidolph has more than 30 years of experience and has conducted research with bakery, beverage, dairy and meat applications of food phosphate products. In her current position she provides technical support to customers, conducts application research and identifies growth opportunities related to the baking segment. Ms. Heidolph is a member of the Institute of Food Technologists and the American Society of Baking. She has served as president and chair of AACC International.

William F. Geddes helped boost the association’s reputation in the fields of fundamental and applied cereal sciences. He served the association in a variety of roles, including as president and vice-president.

“The William F. Geddes Memorial Award honors the zeal and unselfish industry of an individual member,” said Steve Nelson, executive vice-president of AACC International, a non-profit organization of members who are specialists in the use of cereal grains in foods. “Each year it is presented to an individual in recognition of outstanding service, loyalty and devotion to the principles and objectives of the association and its membership. Barbara has made tremendous contributions to ICL and the baking industry, and we are excited to see her hard work and dedication recognized.”
