PHILADELPHIA — Tasty Baking Co. has reorganized its sales group with two promotions and has created and filled the position of director of new products.

Robert V. Brown has been promoted to senior vice-president of sales, and Brendan O’Malley as been promoted to vice-president of sales. Bradley Doyle has joined the company as director of new products.

Mr. Brown jointed Tasty more than 25 years ago as a sales representative. In his new post Mr. Brown will be responsible for focusing on “strategically driving growth and enhancing the brand,” Tasty said.

Mr. O’Malley most recently was chief information officer at the company. He will be responsible for process improvements aimed at making the Tastykake sales force more effective and efficient while increasing sales and expanding the territories in which the company’s products are sold.

Mr. Doyle most recently was with Mars Advertising, a leading shopper marketing advertising agency. He was account director on the Campbell Soup Co. business. In his role, Mr. Doyle will “drive product innovation and work across the organization to execute the new product development lifecycle, from concept to commercialization,” Tasty said.

The company said the new position will be crucial with the opening of the new Philadelphia Navy Yard baking plant which will give the company greater flexibility in new product introductions.
