FORT COLLINS, COLO. — Specialty food company Rodelle has launched Dutch baking cocoa in western Canada. Costco will distribute the cocoa, which is sourced from the Ivory Coast.

“Western Canada is the perfect market to launch cocoa in the summertime,” said Joe Basta, vice-president of sales and marketing for Rodelle. “The community truly embraces the culinary art of baking all year round.

“Our cocoa is European Dutch processed and very high in cocoa fat content, which takes a serious baker’s experience to the next level of decadence.”

In addition to cocoa, Rodelle’s product line includes vanilla extracts, vanilla paste, lemon extract, almond extract, anise extract and a variety of herbs and spices.
