OMAHA — Gavilon Grain, L.L.C. announced plans to acquire a 400,000-bu grain elevator in Mount Horeb, Wis. Under terms of the transaction, Gavilon will acquire the southern Wisconsin grain operation from Irv’s Feed and Supply Inc. and continue buying, selling and storing grain. The company will assume all forward purchase and sales contracts.

“We are looking forward to serving area producers and building upon the outstanding operation established by Irv and Judy Steinhauer,” said Gene Reibel, senior director of merchandising and operations of Gavilon Grain. “The Mount Horeb facility will complement our storage and handling capabilities in Dane County at Waunakee.”
