Flowers promotes within legal team

THOMASVILLE, GA. — Several members of the corporate legal and shareholder relations team have been promoted at Flowers Foods.

Stephanie B. Tillman has been named vice-president of compliance and assistant general counsel, providing general legal counsel, especially on employee and independent distributor matters. Ms. Tillman joined Flowers in 1995 as a corporate attorney, and she was promoted to associate counsel in 1998, associate general counsel in 1999, and vice-president and associate general counsel in 2003.

A. Ryals McMullian Jr. was promoted to vice-president and associate general counsel, where he will continue to focus on mergers and acquisitions. He joined Flowers in 2003 as associate general counsel from the Atlanta office of the Jones Day law firm.

Holland C. Kirbo has been named associate general counsel with responsibility for employment, contracts, and trademark law. Ms. Kirbo joined Flowers in 2003 from the law firm of Moore, Clarke, DuVall and Rodgers in Albany, Ga. Earlier, she was a law clerk for the Honorable J. Owen Forrester of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia in Atlanta.

Lisa R. Hay was named manager of shareholder relations with oversight of all aspects of individual shareholder relations. Ms. Hay joined Flowers in 1988 as shareholder relations secretary after working in the banking and securities industries. She was promoted to shareholder relations specialist in 2001.
