ABBOTSFORD, B.C. — Silver Hills Bakery, a Canadian company that makes Squirrelly brand bread, has released two new sprouted, organic whole grain bread varieties in wide-slice form: Ali’s Alpine Grain and 20 Grain Train.
Ali’s Alpine Grain has a smooth texture with a blend of organic rye, wheat, khorasan wheat and soybeans, while 20 Grain Train features 20 organic grains and seeds.
“We’re excited to introduce a mainstream sprouted grain product that will give Canadians a healthy-choice for creating their perfect sandwich,” said Brad Brousson, co-founder of Silver Hills Bakery. “These new bread creations are a response to our customer’s desire for the perfect wider sliced, organic sprouted bread.”
“The Perfect Sandwich” campaign began in July with in-store awareness and a social media campaign on Twitter (#perfectsandwich) and Facebook. The “20 Prizes in 20 Days” sweepstakes began on July 11.
The initial product launch will be in Western Canada with additional distribution to be announced.
