ST. LOUIS — Bunge-SCF Grain, L.L.C., a joint venture between Bunge North America and SCF Agri/Fuels L.L.C., has reached a long-term agreement to lease the Soylutions, L.L.C. grain elevator in McLeansboro, Ill. The facility, which handles corn, soybeans and wheat, has a storage capacity of more than 4 million bus as well as a 90-car CSXT Express train loader.

“The facility’s strategic location will enable us to efficiently serve the poultry markets as well as Bunge’s soybean processing plant in Decatur, Ala.,” said Bailey Ragan, vice-president and general manager of Bunge Grain. “We will also be able to provide our producer customers with access to export markets through the Port of Brunswick, Ga.”

In addition to the McLeansboro facility, the joint venture is building a river grain terminal in Fairmont City, Ill. Construction is expected to be completed next spring.
