WASHINGTON — The American Bakers Association has launched BakersEnrichAmerica.org, a web site that provides baking industry job, wage, and tax data at the national level, state level, and also by congressional district.

“This data will allow A.B.A. to show policymakers in black and white how vital our industry is to the economy,” said Robb MacKie, president and chief executive officer of the A.B.A. “The baking industry is one of the last stable manufacturing industries in the United States. We directly employ more than 633,000 people, and each year our industry accounts for more than $31 billion in wages and $38 billion in taxes.”

The web site includes links to a national economic data flyer, national data table, state and district reports, an economic impact study methodology and documentation and site video tutorial.
