Vega to lead nutrition marketing at Corn Products

WESTCHESTER, ILL. — Santiago Vega has joined Corn Products International as senior manager of nutrition marketing. In this role, Mr. Vega will lead Corn Products’ North American nutrition marketing initiatives to support global nutrition strategies. “Customer demand for value-added ingredients is continually increasing, and we are proud to be a leading supplier supporting these demands from formulation stage to market shelf,” said Jim Low, vice-president of marketing, U.S./Canada Ingredient Solutions. “Santiago’s vast experience in the area of food nutrition will allow us to provide one-on-one support to help our customers grow their better-for-you business.” Prior to joining the company, Mr. Vega was product manager of human nutrition for BASF Corp. He previously held roles as industry manager of dietary supplements, and industry manager of food and beverages at BASF. He also was a senior analyst for BF Ltd., Equity Partners, a private equity firm that focuses on the agriculture, agrochemicals and food industries and gained valuable industry experience in roles with Seminis Vegetable Seeds, Eli Lilly and DSM. He received a bachelor's degree in food science from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in business administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
