McCormick joins Bob's Red Mill in finance post

PORTLAND, ORE. — John McCormick has been named executive vice-president of finance and general counsel of Milwaukie, Ore.-based Bob’s Red Mill Natural Foods. Mr. McCormick has served as Bob’s Red Mill’s outside legal counsel for the past 11 years. He is a certified public accountant. He succeeds John Wagner, who is retiring.

“We are so fortunate to have someone of John McCormick’s caliber and capabilities join our company,” said Bob Moore, founder and president of employee-owned Bob’s Red Mill. “He has done so much good work for us over the years, and we are as thrilled to now have him as one of our key executives as we are sad to see John Wagner go.”

Mr. McCormick had been with the law firm Sussman Shank L.L.P. since 1991, and he had been a partner in the firm since 1996. Prior to joining Sussman Shank, he worked with Touche, Ross & Company, Certified Public Accountants.

He received a bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Oregon and a master’s degree in business administration and a law degree, both from Willamette University.

Mr. Wagner had been c.f.o. at Bob’s Red Mill since 1993 and became a partner in the company in 1995.

“John Wagner has given so much to this company, I can’t thank him enough,” Mr. Moore said. “Without him, the Bob’s Red Mill you know today simply would not have been possible. We wish him nothing but great times in his retirement.”
