ORRVILLE, OHIO — Three individuals have been promoted to new positions at the J.M. Smucker Co. Chris Resweber has been named to the newly created position of senior vice-president, corporate communications and public affairs; Julia Sabin has been named vice-president, industry and government affairs; and Tamara Fynan was elected a corporate officer and promoted to vice-president, marketing services.

Mr. Resweber’s new position becomes effective May 1. He currently is a corporate officer and vice-president of marketing communications. In his 24 years with Smucker he has held a variety of leadership positions in marketing, advertising and communications.

Ms. Sabin’s appointment becomes effective June 1. She is currently a corporate officer and vice-president and general manager of Smucker Natural Foods, Inc., and has been with Smucker for 28 years. She will succeed Al Yeagley as vice-president of industry and government affairs. Mr. Yeagley will retire on Dec. 31 after spending 38 years as a Smucker employee.

Ms. Fynan’s promotion becomes effective May 1. She formerly was vice-president of advertising and creative services. She has more than 20 years of experience working for Smucker brands.
