NEW HAMPTON, N.Y. — A planned new manufacturing facility in Covington, Va., will more than double output capacity for Balchem Corp.’s Animal Nutrition and Health ruminant sector focusing on encapsulation technology, the New Hampton-based company said April 30. The Virginia plant expansion is scheduled for completion in the fall.
The location in Virginia provides access to interstate highways and has close port proximity to assist in serving Balchem’s international business. Balchem said the plant expansion is the result of acceptance of the company’s portfolio of encapsulated nutrients. It complements the 2011 expansion of Balchem’s plant in Verona, Mo.
