WASHINGTON — The American Bakers Association has named four new members to its board of directors.

Maureen Linder, senior vice-president and general manager of fresh and frozen bakery at Pepperidge Farm, Inc., will replace Pat Callaghan, who is set to retire in July.

Erin Sharp will join the board from the Kroger Co. Ms. Sharp is vice-president of manufacturing for the central region. She succeeds Mary Ellen Adcock, who transitioned out of the baking category when she was promoted at Kroger earlier this year.

John C. Campbell II, vice-president of Chattanooga Bakery, also has joined the board. Chattanooga Bakery is newly represented at the board level, the A.B.A. said.

David Murphy, president of Mother Murphy’s Laboratories, has assumed the role of chairman of the AIB board of trustees. He succeeds Dan Babin, corporate vice-president of supply chain strategy for Bimbo Bakeries USA, whose term as AIB chairman expired in March.

“A.B.A. is of course disappointed to say goodbye to some exceptional voices on our board of directors,” said Robb MacKie, president and chief executive officer of the A.B.A. “Pat, Mary, Ellen and Dan have been tremendous assets to our organization during their service. I know the membership joins me in thanking them for their terrific contributions.

“However, it is with great excitement that we welcome four new directors. We look forward to welcoming them to the board and know they will be tremendous sources of insight and leadership in the years to come.”

The appointments take effect June 14.
