MUMBAI, INDIA — Cadbury India Ltd., a unit of Kraft Foods Inc., has introduced Oreo cookies in India. The cookies will be available in the classic flavor: a dark chocolate biscuit with vanilla creme.

Cadbury India said the introduction of Oreo is part of the company’s long-term strategy in India to gradually expand the business operation from a pure play confectionery company to a broader foods company that will leverage the global scale and expertise of Kraft Foods.
