California Pizza Kitchen to expand in Taiwan

LOS ANGELES — California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. has entered an agreement to expand in Taiwan with Quanta Foods, a new franchise partner. At least six new restaurants will open in Taiwan during the next five years.
“We are proud to be a global brand, and whenever we are able to introduce our innovative menu into a new country, it is an opportunity we pursue,” said Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax, co-founders of California Pizza Kitchen. “Quanta Foods has a great success record in Taiwan, and we are pleased to partner with them on this venture.”
Quanta Foods previously has been a joint-venture partner with companies such as McDonald’s and T.G.I. Friday’s.
