AIPC adds gluten-free line to Heartland brand

KANSAS CITY — American Italian Pasta Co. has extended its Heartland pasta brand with the launch of a new line of gluten-free pastas.
Available in spaghetti, penne and fusilli shapes, Heartland’s gluten-free pasta “matches the color, texture and flavor of traditional pasta,” according to AIPC.
“Great-tasting pasta has been little more than a fond wish for those who follow gluten-free diets,” said Pat Regan, senior vice-president of AIPC. “With Heartland’s pasta, gluten-free dieters can enjoy pasta dishes without having to make any flavor compromise.”
In addition to being gluten-free, the new pasta is egg- and dairy-free. The pasta has a suggested retail price of $1.99 to $2.69.
