Liquid shortenings are free of trans fat

A new line of liquid shortenings from Mallet and Co., Carnegie, Pa., are free of trans fat and hydrogenated oils. The formulations of the shortenings may facilitate the release of baked foods and reduce breakage of cones and wafers. The liquid shortenings may work in such applications as ice cream cones, wafers, pizza crusts and cookies.
