Soy protein isolates assist in weight management

ASHDOD, ISRAEL — Solbar has developed a line of soy protein isolates for the weight management market. Solbar Q 741, a low-viscosity soy protein isolate with suspension properties, may be used in such applications as nutritional shakes and recovery meals. Solbar Q813, a hydrolyzed, low-viscosity soy protein isolate, may be used in bar applications.

“By replacing fat or high-carbohydrate foods with healthy foods containing Solbar’s extensive line of ingredients for weight management, the consumer gains improved satiety together with a low-glycemic diet component,” said Moti Shmueli, sales director manager for Ashdod-based Solbar. “Our new line will provide a competitive edge via highly nutritious values in new products developed by health food and supplement manufacturers.”
