November liquid egg product up 7% from year ago

WASHINGTON — The total amount of edible liquid product from shell eggs broken in November was 225,921,000 lbs, down slightly from 226,103,000 lbs in October but up 7% from November 2010, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said in its latest Egg Products report.
November production of edible liquid whole eggs was 137,733,000 lbs, down 6% from October but up 2% from November 2010; liquid whites were 57,687,000 lbs, up 9% from October and up 14% from November; liquid yolks were 30,501,000 lbs, up 14% from October and up 19% from November 2010; and inedible production was 19,649,000 lbs, down 1% from October but up 10% from November 2010.
Shell eggs broken in November were 173,591,000 dozen, down slightly from 174,137,000 dozen in October but up 6% from November 2010.
January–November production of edible whole eggs was 1,519,334,000 lbs, down 2% from the same period of the previous year; whites were 635,474,000 lbs, up 6%; yolks were 325,435,000 lbs, up 9%; and total edible liquid was 2,480,243,000 lbs, up 1% from the previous year.
