Bagger. A machine for the packaging of bread (q.v.) and rolls (q.v.) into bags (q.v.) made chiefly of transparent polyethylene film (q.v.). The actual bagging operation differs with the two basic machine designs currently in common use, namely, the reciprocating scoop bagger and the paddle bagger, both of which use air jets to open up and inflate the receiving bag, but differ in the manner in which product insertion is carried out.
