Compound Lipid. A triglyceride (q.v.) which, in addition to fatty acids (q.v.) and glycerol (q.v.), also contains such various molecular components, as phosphoric acid (q.v.), a carbohydrate (q.v.), nitrogenous groups, or sulfur, and is referred to correspondingly as phospholipid, glycolipid, etc.
