Enrober. A unit of equipment designed to cover the entire surface of an item with an edible coating (q.v.). It commonly consists of a heated reservoir tank that contains the fluid coating, such as melted chocolate (q.v.) or icing (q.v.), and a wiremesh belt (q.v.) conveyor that carries the product through a curtain of the liquid coating being extruded through nozzles above the conveyor, with any excess being collected for return to the reservoir tank.
