Granulated Sugar

Granulated Sugar. Crystallized sugar (q.v.) that ranges in fineness from extra powdery sugar used for coating confectionery (q.v.) products to coarsely granular. The intermediary grades include bakers' special, fruit granulated, extra fine, fine, medium fine, medium, standard and coarse granulations, with each succeeding grade consisting of ever larger granules.
