Lintner Method. An analytical procedure for measuring ?-amylase (q.v.) activity of malt (q.v.) by having a malt infusion act on a 2% starch (q.v.) solution under standard conditions of time and temperature. The resulting maltose (q.v.) content is determined by a ferricyanide solution and expressed as degrees Lintner (¦L).
