Niacin

Niacin Also known as nicotinic acid, it is a nutritionally important member of the water-soluble B-complex vitamins (q.v.) that is found in meats, milk (q.v.), yeast (q.v.), leafy vegetables and that acts as a pellagra-preventive factor. It is one of the vitamins included in flour and bread enrichment (q.v.).
