Palm Kernel Oil
Palm Kernel Oil. A white to yellowish edible fat (q.v.), extracted from the seed (q.v.) of oil-yielding palm trees, that resembles coconut oil (q.v.) in its saturated fatty acid (q.v.) composition and its functional characteristics. Though it is derived from the same plant source as palm oil (q.v.), it is nonetheless quite distinct from the latter.
