Single-Lap Oven. A traveling oven (q.v.) in which stabilized baking trays (q.v.) are conveyed back and forth in a single loop through the baking chamber (q.v.). It generally features a rather long oven chamber and, hence, requires considerable floor space, has an extended zone at its front section for the injection of oven steam (q.v.), but represents the simplest of mechanical oven designs.
