Tapioca Starch

Tapioca Starch. A starch, also called cassava starch (q.v.), obtained from the South American tropical plant Manihot dulcis , and available in granular, flake, or flour form. It finds extensive use as a thickening agent (q.v.) in such foods as soups, puddings and pie fillings (q.v.).
