Variety Bread
Variety Bread. Any bread (q.v.) other than the conventional, round-top pan bread (q.v.) made of only white flour (q.v.). It may either include flours from other cereals, as rye (q.v.), or whole wheat flour (q.v.), or be baked without the use of a confining pan (q.v.) directly on the hearth (q.v.) or on a baking sheet (q.v.).
