Wafer. A thin, crisp cookie (q.v.) or biscuit (q.v.), generally sweetened and flavored, made from a fluid batter (q.v.) that is baked between heated iron rollers embossed with dies (q.v.). It is often formed into miniature sandwiches filled with variously flavored creams (q.v.), and occasionally coated with chocolate (q.v.).
