Whip

Whip. (a) A beater fabricated of wire, either small for manual use or of larger proportions as part of a vertical mixer (q.v.), and used to impart a light and aerated foam (q.v.) character to such materials as creams (q.v.) or egg whites (q.v.) by rapid beating. (b) To beat a fluid substance into a foam (q.v.) or froth.
