Arico Natural Foods, San Diego, CA, launches CrispRoot chips, thick, crunchy chips with ridges. With one-third less fat and double the fiber of potato chips, according to the company, CrispRoot chips are free from gluten, dairy and trans fat and are flavored with all-natural seasonings. Made from cassava, a drought-tolerant staple also known as yucca or manioc, CrispRoots chips are available in four flavors: Thai Ginger, Barbeque, Sea Salt and Original.
