Multitextured RTE cereal

This ready-to-eat cereal flake includes rice-based pellets embedded in cooked cereal grain. The two components are formed separately before being made into a pellet, then formed into a flake and heated. Because the cooked cereal grain’s moisture content is greater than the rice pellets, the pellets expand to create a blistered appearance, resulting in a multitextured flake.
