SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Royal DSM has entered an agreement to acquire Fortitech, Inc. The company will become part of DSM’s Human Nutrition and Health business.

Fortitech will become an important part of the Human Nutrition and Health business within DSM Nutritional Products. I look forward to welcoming Fortitech’s 520 employees to DSM.”
The companies said the combination will be one of the leading companies in the development and manufacture of food ingredient blends for the food and beverage, infant nutrition and dietary supplements industries.

The acquisition is expected to close by the end of the year.
