MILWAUKEE — Red Star has made platinum superior baking yeast available at the retail level. The premium instant yeast is designed to allow consumers to achieve bakery-quality results at home.

Platinum contains dough enhancers and conditioners typically used by professional bakers. Baked foods such as bread, pastries and donuts will be more light, airy and larger in volume when Platinum is used, according to Red Star. A proprietary yeast blend/product reduces the risk of dough collapse.

Red Star has partnered with Gesine Bullock-Prado, a professional baker and author of his baking memoir, “My Life from Scratch,” as well as cookbooks “Sugar Baby” and “Pie It Forward.” Bakers may visit to watch her use Platinum in recipes.
