CANTON, MASS. — Dunkin’ Donuts is entering Vietnam as it has signed a franchise agreement with Vietnam Food and Beverage Co. Ltd for development in the country.
The agreement will bring the first Dunkin’ restaurant in the country to the Ho Chi Minh area, and stores will be developed across the country over the next several years.
“We are excited to partner with Vietnam Food and Beverage Co. Ltd., which has a deep knowledge of the Vietnamese consumer, to open the first Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant in Vietman,” said Giorgi Minardi, president of Dunkin’ Brands International. “We look forward to working with them to bring Dunkin’ Donuts’ delicious offerings to guest across the country.”
Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Vietnam will have coffee and baked goods, an assortment of donuts, breakfast and bakery sandwiches as well as other beverages.
Dunkin’ Donuts will have competition in the market as Starbucks also recently announced its plans to enter Vietnam, with its first store in the country opening in February.
