SALT LAKE CITY — Rhodes Bake-N-Serv, a producer of frozen dough for bread, rolls and cinnamon rolls, will cease operations at its Caldwell, Idaho, plant this spring. The move will result in the elimination of approximately 50 jobs.

Kenny Farnsworth, president of Rhodes, said the company plans to consolidate its production of frozen dough for bread, rolls and cinnamon rolls at its plant in Columbus, Wis.

In line with the shutdown of operations, Rhodes said it will begin to scale back production at the Caldwell facility beginning in February, and will operate with a limited staff until April 15.

In the future, the Caldwell plant will be used as a Rhodes distribution center for the Northwest and will have two employees, the company said.
