PARSIPPANY, N.J. — One hundred and twenty years after debuting at the 1893 Chicago’s World Fair, Cream of Wheat is once again offering consumers a new product with the launch of three hot cereals.

Cream of Wheat Maple Brown Sugar Stovetop is the brand’s first flavored hot cereal in the stovetop category. It features maple and brown sugar flavors and is considered an excellent source of iron, calcium and vitamin D. The hot cereal is ready in just 2½ minutes, B&G Foods, Inc. said.

Cream of Wheat Maple Brown Sugar Stovetop is available at major retailers throughout the United States for a suggested retail price of $4.19 for a 28-oz box.

B&G Foods also has introduced Cream of Wheat Instant Bananas and Cream. The flavored instant hot cereal is available at a suggested retail price of $4.19.

Finally, in an effort to reach the growing number of gluten-free consumers, B&G Foods has launched Cream of Rice. The product is available for $2.49 for Cream of Rice Stovetop and $4.19 for Cream of Rice Instant.

“One hundred and twenty years is a momentous milestone for any brand, and Cream of Wheat can attribute its staying power to fulfilling the consumer need for eating a wholesome and delicious breakfast or snack year after year,” said David L. Wenner, president and chief executive officer of B&G Foods. “As we look to grow the brand, we always strive to preserve the tradition of Cream of Wheat as an indispensable pantry item while offering fans new ways to enjoy the product.”
