URBANA, OHIO — Chicago Metallic Bakeware has acquired Lockwood Manufacturing, a Livonia, Mich.-based supplier of aluminum equipment. As part of the transaction, Chicago Metallic Bakeware will manage the stock pan business and PanGlo will operate the Lockwood glaze plants. Both the Chicago Metallic and PanGlo operations will be overseen by Robert Bundy, who has been named managing director for the Canadian plants.

Chicago Metallic said it plans to upgrade all glaze plants, including updating equipment, switching to Americoat Plus silicone release coating and establishing PanGlo service standards.   Canadian customers also will have access to new stock pan selections from Chicago Metallic through the Brantford, Ont., warehouse.

“We are thrilled with this new venture and the opportunity to build lasting relationships in the Canadian market, and we look forward to offering these bakeries the benefits of our products and services,” said Gil Bundy, president of Chicago Metallic Bakeware.

American Pan, a manufacturer of custom industrial baking pans, will provide Lockwood with custom made baking pans.
