The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) is partnering with a long list of academic institutions to develop the educational program for Process Expo 2013, taking place Nov. 3-6 at McCormick Place, Chicago. Registration to the event is currently open.

Process Expo’s educational sessions will address key issues in important segments of the food and beverage industry and include expert speakers from Iowa State University, Kansas State University, Michigan State University, Ohio State University, Purdue University, University of California Davis, University of Idaho, University of Nebraska and University of Wisconsin.

“Each university was selected for its expertise in a particular segment of the industry," said Jeff Dahl, FPSA chairman and business manager of JBT FoodTech, Chicago. “These schools are at the top of their fields in the science of meat, baking, beverage, prepared foods and food processing. Additionally, they work extensively with industry through their extension programs and as such are uniquely positioned to discuss the latest innovations in their field."

The educational sessions are free of charge for all registered attendees and will take place on the show floor throughout the four-day event.

“Education is a critical component of our event and a major reason why many attendees come to the trade show,” said FPSA President and CEO David Seckman. “The expertise that they find in all of these sessions, along with that on the show floor is a tangible benefit that they can bring back to their business to address important issues or create new business opportunities."

Process Expo 2013 is co-located with the International Dairy Show and the North American Meat Association's Outlook Conference. Registered attendees will have open access to all three events.
